One of the principle areas of activity for the IPLA is to act as a centralised voice for those law firms throughout England and Wales who have significant IP practices. The IPLA has on many occassions been instrumental in the development of the practice of IP law in the United Kingdom through its submissions made to the relevant governmental or other body both in the United Kingdom and across the European Union.
